StreetOVR — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The StreetOVR app is developed and operated by Mustafa Said Kösoğlu. Contact us at: streetovr.app@gmail.com

2. What data we collect

Account information: Email address and password (via Supabase Auth; we never see your password in plain text — it's stored hashed).

Profile information: Name, date of birth, height, weight, preferred foot, position, city, country, profile photo, and the team you belong to.

Location data: When you check in to a turf ("halısaha") match, we use your one-time GPS location to verify you're actually at the venue. We do not track your location in the background.

User content: Matches you've joined, ratings you give to and receive from other players (pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending, physical), skill votes, your goal/assist counts, and any reports you file.

Notification data: A device-specific push notification token is stored so we can send you notifications.

Technical data: Standard server logs via our Supabase infrastructure (for debugging and security).

Advertising data: The app shows small banner ads through Google AdMob. For this purpose AdMob processes your device's Advertising ID and general device/app information. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads from your phone's settings. Premium members see no ads.

3. Why we use your data

To create and manage your account
To calculate your player card and OVR rating
To run matches, teams, and friendship features
To send push notifications (match invites, rating reminders)
To verify turf match check-ins
To review reports and prevent abuse

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. To operate the app, data is shared with these service providers (processors):

Supabase — database, authentication, file storage (profile photos), and server-side functions
Expo / Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — push notification delivery
Google Places API — venue/address suggestions when searching for a turf pitch
Google AdMob — serving in-app banner ads (advertising ID and device information). See how AdMob handles data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Google (Gemini API) — only when a premium user uses "Create AI Card Photo": the photo you select is sent to Google to be turned into a card portrait. If you do not use this feature, none of your photos are sent to Google. The same service is used for team emblem generation, with only the text description you write.

Other users can see your card (name, photo, ratings, stats), your match history (unless you hide it), and your profile — this sharing is core to how the app works.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (My Profile → Settings → Delete My Account), your profile and everything linked to it (match participation, ratings given/received, skill votes) is permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

6. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. You can edit your profile information in the app, and permanently delete your account from within the app at any time. For other requests, contact us at streetovr.app@gmail.com.

7. Age requirement

StreetOVR is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we'll notify you of significant changes in the app.
